Our permanent pilots, ground crew and operational staff are local Territorians with additional specialist crew engaged when seasonal demands require.
Director and Chief Pilot Peter Bidstrup has 26 years' experience in aerial application including 20 years as a pilot and has worked in the Northern Territory since 2001.
Peter has been a director for the professional industry body, Aerial Agricultural Association of Australia, for 10 years since 2003.
Dwayne manages the ground operations for Aerotech NT and is a Katherine local who now lives in Batchelor.
He has worked for Aerotech NT since 2009 after mustering cattle at Mountain Valley Station north east of Katherine near Daly Waters and Maryfield Station south of Katherine.
Dwayne has indepth local knowledge, good agricultural skills and knows the local area well.
Aerotech NT is committed to safety and quality and prides itself on operating according to the professional standards of the aerial agricultural industry.
The company holds all Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approvals for application operations and our pilots are all industry experienced with commercial licences and Class 1 Agricultural Ratings needed for low level flying.
Licences and permits include:
- Northern Territory pesticide applicators licence
- Individual Pilot pesticide licences
- Air Operators Certificate
- Aerial Agricultural Association of Australia accreditation.
Our company and pilots are all members of the Aerial Agricultural Association of Australia and all ground crew have industry specific safety and chemical handling accreditations.
A Trac Plus satellite tracking system is fitted to all Aerotech NT aircraft and support vehicles so the location of our crew can be tracked at all times and an alert activated in case of an emergency.
Conducting fire control operations for Bushfire NT as well as agricultural and environmental spraying services to Northern Territory based clients, enables Aerotech NT to maintain large capacity, well equipped, purpose-built application Air Tractor aircraft based in the Northern Territory.
Having this fleet of aircraft based permanently in the Northern Territory provides a reliable resource available at short notice for a range of emergency situations such as fires, marine oil spill, outbreaks of pest and disease, flood relief and search and rescue.
Aerotech NT’s fleet of aircraft also provides aerial agricultural services to government, Indigenous and private landholders throughout the Northern Territory.
